On May 21st, 2026, our lab hosted pregnant and parenting students from the Longfellow Alternative High School on our campus for a visit organized by Mara Manolescu, a 1st year in our lab. While here, the students got to learn about our lab and the Student Parent Help Center here at the university, and they were able to hear from and ask questions to 3 student-parent volunteers part of SPHC. They enjoyed connecting with college students who were also parents and sharing their stories! Afterwards, they participated in a mock-lecture given by our very own Emily Hoffmann about biomechanics. We look forward to expanding our events with Longfellow High School!
